Ring Size Guide
Before measuring
Fingers change size through the day and tend to be fuller in the evening and in warmer weather. For the most accurate result, measure at the end of the day. Avoid measuring after exercise, in the heat, after a drink, or after a salty meal.
The left and right hand often differ slightly, so measure the specific finger the ring is meant for. If your knuckle is wider than the base of the finger, choose a measurement between the two and size up.
Wider styles such as signet rings sit more snugly than slim bands. If you fall between two sizes on a signet, the larger is the better choice.
How to measure
Cut a thin strip of paper. Wrap it snugly around the base of the finger and mark where the ends meet. Lay it flat, measure the length in millimetres, then match that number to the circumference column below.
Already have a ring that fits? Take it to any local jeweller — they can size it in under a minute, which is ideal when the ring is a gift.
Between sizes? Size up. A ring that runs slightly large can be adjusted by a jeweller. One that is too small cannot be resized without risk to the design.
